Edmonton, AB-based since 2003, Showboy's blend of speaker-humpin', booty-shakin', deep, dirty, funky, fidgety, disco-driven house always rocks socks across North America & beyond! He is a Guest Resident at many Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto venues, and has played 4 continents.
Edmonton residencies included BUDDYS (2003-06), THE ROOST (2007), PRISM (2008), BOOTS (2008-09), NEW CITY (2008-10), PLAY (2009-12), FLASH (2012) & STEAMWORKS (2017- Mar 19). Starting OCT 26, 2019 he begins a monthly residency at EVOLUTION WONDERLOUNGE on the last Saturday. He continues to play clubs, special events, EDM & Pride festivals around the globe.
Tours have included RIPPIN' UP THE DISCO (Canada/USA, 12 dates, 2010), EXs+ OH!s (Canada/USA/Mexico, 52 dates, 2011-12), EMBRACE THE STRANGE (Canada, 23 dates, 2013), FUNK U! (USA, 19 dates, 2014), BASSTURBATE (Canada/USA/Mexico/EU/UK/ Australia, 96 dates, 2015) and DISCOFILTH (Canada/USA/Mexico/UK, 38 dates, 2016-17).
He has worked with Florence Welch, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Morgan Page, Myles Dyson, Deko-ze, Chocolate Puma, Sarah McLachlan, Metric, Jann Arden, Tracy Young, Thunderpuss, Tony Moran & Deborah Cox, to name a few.
In 2003 he DJ’d extreme-sport events with Burton, and in 2010 played for athletes during the Vancouver Olympic Games. In 2015 he worked with iconic lifestyle brand KidRobot and in 2016, created the runway mix for West Coast Fashion Week & a line of #SHOWBOY briefs with Edmonton's SNUG Underwear. 2018/2019 saw him DJ a number of Pure Pride events feat RuPaul’s Drag Race headliners & local talent, and in Summer/Fall he will tour extensively across Canada and the US for Pride events.
He has been nominated for a 2015 Juno Award and 2 Grammy Awards in 2016, for writing, remixing & production. He lived in England for 4 years, graduating university with degrees in Business Administration and Communications.
Originally from Toronto, he bides free time between homes there, Edmonton and Jalisco, Mexico. He is currently working on remixed & original material to be featured at events throughout 2019. #PLUR, baby!
